If you're getting married this year it's likely that you have had to postpone your nuptials from 2020, or perhaps you were lucky with the timing and were planning to marry in 2021.  Whether it's a long-deferred ceremony or your intended date, a lot goes into planning a wedding and making sure that everything runs smoothly on the big day.  A wedding involves a lot more than just choosing a dress and a cake – there are bridesmaids outfits to decide on, table decorations to choose, invitation stationery to select, flowers to pick and hairstyles to be thought about – the list is endless.

One area we can help with is ensuring the bride and bridesmaids have beautiful complementary jewellery so that the whole bridal party has a cohesive look.  The aesthetic elements of dressing for a wedding are important, because the record of the day, whether that's photos or a video, will be a memory that is looked back on for many years.  It's the details that make these memories ones that are cherished, so ensuring that the bridesmaids are dressed to enhance the bride is a small, but crucial detail.

Many brides wear pearls on their wedding day – they're traditional for bridal jewellery and often the bride will wear some pearl jewellery with family significance.  Choosing jewellery to complement an heirloom piece can the tricky but we have a stunning range of pearl jewellery which will match and enhance any antique piece.

Pearl earrings for bridesmaids are a great choice – they flatter everyone and with the pretty and intricate hairstyles chosen for weddings you can be sure that earrings will be seen.  Our Full Moon studs are the simplest choice; a single pearl on the earlobe adds a pretty accent that will suit every bridesmaid regardless of their dress colour.  The Vita pearl earrings are a more budget friendly choice with a smaller pearl nestled in a dimpled sterling silver mount.  A pair of these as a gift at the rehearsal dinner to be worn on the day is a lovely touch, and these studs can then become part of their everyday jewellery collection.

Pearl studs work especially well when the bride has drop pearl earrings on, and we have three styles for brides that have mounts which complement the shape of a wedding gown.  The Harmony, Romance and Destiny options have oval and teardrop shaped mounts with the pearl suspended in the centre.  They are classy and simple, making them the ideal finishing touch to a sophisticated bridal look.

Bridesmaids ought to steer away from wearing rings (with the exception of engagement and wedding rings, or those with sentimental meaning) because the focus ought to be on the bride's hands.  In photos this is especially noticeable so only the bride should wear a pearl ring.  Pearl necklaces and earrings are absolutely fine to wear – the main point is that you don't wear anything that might upstage the bride, or cause attention to be diverted away from the happy couple.

Mothers of the bride and groom may have family pearls they want to wear, but if not our Vintage Pearl collection is a good choice for a more mature look.  If you have family pearls you want to wear as a bridesmaid then check with the bride that it is OK, especially if the style isn't in keeping with the look she has chosen.

If pearls really aren't your thing then have a look at our gemstone earrings and necklaces as we will have options that match the colour theme you have chosen – we really do have something for every occasion.
