Rihanna is one of the most well-known women in the world.  After the island of Barbados recently celebrated independence they named her a national hero; when a nation removes HRH Queen Elizabeth as head of state and names someone else as a significant national figure it's almost as if Rihanna is now Queen of the islands.  Born on Barbados in 1988, Robyn Rihanna Fenty has long been a treasured figure for the Caribbean nation and has gained millions of fans worldwide.  She may have made a name for herself with her music, but she's also forged a career in fashion and is known for her inimitable style and ability to wear just about anything.

We think that one of the most notable aspects of Rihanna's style is that she isn't afraid to pile on the bling, or to wear items in new and inventive ways.   She often wears jewels on her head as part of her outfit, so we think she'd wear our Wild Spirit necklace along a centre parting with the pendant in the centre of her forehead.  She has multiple ear piercings, so could wear the matching earrings, as well as another pair of studs or climbers.  Our Caribbean Delight larimar studs would be the ideal nod to her heritage, and the cool blue tone of the stone would complement the topaz in the Wild Spirit pieces.

Some of Rihanna's Met Gala looks have been the standout stars of the evening, and her Catholicism themed outfit was no exception.  The 2018 event saw her wearing a pearl and gem encrusted outfit and a striking crucifix pendant, similar to ones she has been pictured in at different events.  The singer was raised Christian and has a strong faith, so we think she'd love our Angelic and Simply Sparkle crucifix pendants.  Both chunky crosses are studded with cubic zirconia and glitter in the light; they're also ideal for wearing with another necklace at a shorter length, for a look that is in keeping with Rihanna's style – she loves to layer and pile on the jewellery for red carpet looks.

Rihanna has several ear piercings but is rarely seen without a pair of hoops.  We have a selection of versatile hoops which are sturdy and solid and will withstand the rigours of filming a music video (not that many of us need to worry about that!).  Our Summer Loving earrings with cubic zirconia and pale blue topaz are the ones we can see her wearing for a daytime look along with some studs for maximum bling.

We already know that Rihanna layers necklaces and earrings and she applies the same aesthetic to rings, wearing several large rings on the same hand.  She'd match our topaz Blue Lagoon ring, with a large emerald cut stone, with the Interlace ring which features six topaz stones of different shades across a large, eye-catching design.  Our Gemma Concerto ring, with its musical inspiration, is right up her street and the variety of gemstones used in it means it'll go with any outfit.  The Ebony ring is a neutral option with cubic zirconia studded across multiple interwoven bands for a truly opulent look.  Worn with our blue and purple Punch Cocktail ring these two would make your hands look like they'd been styled by Rihanna.

Our Fantasize rings, with either sapphire or rubies, and our whole Fantasia collection would also be great for emulating the all-out, dripping with bling style that Rihanna makes look so effortless.  To get her look, go for unusual outfits which make a statement, and accessorise with similarly outré jewels.  You'll certainly attract attention, so deal with it like Rihanna and exude cool self-confidence while you draw admiring glances from all quarters.
